Abstract:

This book, written in Japanese, investigates issues and agendas relating to the politics of the EU financial and monetary systems, especially from a financial stability point of view. Compared to rapidly integrating financial markets and currencies, risk monitoring and crisis responses were not integrated to a comparable degree and left to the hands of member states. The author discusses the causes and consequences of delayed coordination or integration in financial stability policies in the EU/or eurozone, while analyzing effectiveness of post-crisis reforms. The English version of this book is under revision (after being reviewed).
